Hammock camping in strong winds
Hammock camping in strong winds means that you must choose your campsite carefully. After a while searching in the woods, we found a reasonably sheltered place to hang our hammocks. We chose to build our fireplace closer to the water even though it was windier there. We had a very relaxing day with food, spruce tip tea and coffee. Even though it was still quite cold at night and also windy, it was warm and nice in the sleeping bag. It also rained for a while early in the morning but we were well protected with our tarps. Eggs and bacon for breakfast are always a good start to the day.
